The Adventure Cycling Association is launching a major new bikepacking route called the Golden Gravel Trail, a ~3,700-mile mixed-surface corridor from the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean that showcases diverse American landscapes and redefines long-distance bikepacking. Scheduled to debut in 2026, the route reflects five decades of route-building expertise and will be offered for free to riders, with drop-in ride options and community events connecting riders of all levels to the celebration and to each other.
